We Made It Onto Luban’s Homepage (Again!)
Big news from the workshop, we’ve made it onto the Luban homepage again!
What is Luban, you ask? It’s the powerful software we use to bring our biggest ideas to life. From large-scale creations to detailed builds, Luban helps us scale projects up and then slice them down into manageable prints for precision and efficiency.
It does a whole lot more behind the scenes, but one of our favourite features? The cut function, making complex, oversized designs possible on our printers.
Moments like this remind us why we love what we do, pushing boundaries, building big, and sharing it with our community.
Turning Ideas into Scalable Reality 🚀
At Rising Sun FPV, we’re proud to support innovators, and this project is a perfect example.
One of our clients, an anaesthetist, had already developed a training aid for paediatric tracheotomy procedures. The concept was proven and already in use… but she wanted to take it to the next level in quality, consistency, and scalability.
That’s where we came in: working alongside her, we refined the design and brought production in-house, delivering a higher-end, repeatable manufacturing process.
What we delivered:
• Custom 3D printed mould systems
• High-grade Smooth-On silicone casting
• Layered pours to simulate muscle, fat, and skin
• Accurate colouring for realistic surgical training
• A reliable, reproducible production process
This was never our idea, the innovation and vision are entirely hers. Our role? To provide the tools, materials, and expertise to elevate the product to a professional standard.
Now, we’re proud to be her ongoing manufacturing partner, producing these units right here in-house.
