How did you get into FPV Racing: I used to fly a DJI MAVIC as my hobby. I was trawling through YouTube one day and found a Mr Steele video. Ordered my first FPV Quad the next day and haven't touched the MAVIC since.
What club do you race with: Townsville FPVR
Currently flying: For racing I am using a ImpulseRC Helix, ImpulseRC F3 FC, ImpulseRC Helix VTX, T Motor F40 ProII 2600kv motors, Speedix 35A ESC, Runcam Racer 2 Camera and HQ Prop 5.1x4.6x3 props.
For X Class I am currently running a Catalyst Machineworks Tasmanian Frame, Advance Power Drives PDB and ESCs, BrainFPV Radix FC, Runcam Mini Sparrow Mini Pro 2 Camera, XNova 350Kv Motors, Master Airscrew 3X Power 13x12x3 props and TBS Unify Evo VTX. All my quads run TBS Crossfire.
How long have you been flying FPV drones for: Since July 2017 Tips for those getting into FPV: Get down to a local club and check it out. Jump on a sim before you buy anything expensive and ask for help from the community.
